Sabrecat Page 14
Two lights.
I had fun with this one, concentrating more on the composition of the page in whole, and not worrying about the visual details so much. A little more loose and flowing on the action. I’m still seeking a better way to convey action in a static image, though. I better take a look at some more Japanese sports manga for ideas.

OOooo…..looks like attack from DiGrigio — NO.
Attempt to parry from Rossi.
Blades meet, but DiGrigio is on Rossi’s guard…parry for Rossi.
Both land….touch awarded to Rossi….Dirogio is a continuance following the guard parry.
Am I right???? Tune in next week for “As the Piste Turns!”

Or is it…
attack from my left no
counterattack from my right is parried
riposte from my left (and continuation from my right)
touch for my left…?

I thought of that….but looking at how it’s drawn, left definitely makes a marry, but it hit’s right’s guard, which I could call a counter-parry for right.
Also….from a dramatic standpoint, it makes sense for left to lose….she was thinking about the medal during the hair smoothing…and she wasn’t even close to the medal round yet.
