Sabrecat Page 33

Mind.

I hope y’all will indulge me some more experimentation. I really didn’t think I’d finish the page this week, given that the holidays had eaten up so much time. So I originally set out to produce something in black-and-white that would be just as eye-pleasing. I think the color style is more suitable for the comic in general, but this style is fun to do and suits me very well. The only thing is, it took me almost as long as the color pages!!! So much for streamlining…

You may notice that Coach is speaking the same here whether he is talking in <Russian> or English. Originally I was switching back and forth, because you and I both know that people speak properly when they use their native tongue. It’s just that I hear him this way inside my head and having him talk “normally” doesn’t sound right to me, and isn’t nearly as fun! So let’s all push the “I believe” button, ok?

I’m also working on a short story which will show up at some point as an incentive to vote at either Buzz or TWC. Voting when you visit is a pain, yes, I know, but it really is the cheapest way to support Sabrecat! Thanks so much for your visits to my page, I hope to bring you much more in the new year!

Cheers,

Meredith

I think the artistic choice perfectly fits the events in the trip….poor Serik….the last touch is always the hardest, especially if it gets into your head like here.

You could see Serik getting more and more nervous as the test went on…sweat beading and such…anyone who’s fenced knows that pressure, especially if it’s an important bout (Keeth Smart in team sabre in teh last 2 Olympics, anyone?)

Great job…now you make me wait a week??? ARGH!

Love the gritty style! Conveys action and an ominous feeling. Best page yet!
