The American painter Andrew Wyeth passed away today at 91. I was shocked to hear the news because I didn’t even realize he was still alive! O.o He was the son of one of my favorite illustrators, N.C. Wyeth. I’m a great admirer of his melancholy, sensitive art style. There is a fantastic collection of his work in the unlikely location of Greenville, SC, where I got a chance to see his amazing dry brushwork up close. His son, Jamie is also a fine artist.
FYI, I’m still struggling with the archive on the new theme. Hope you don’t mind seeing the old one for a little longer. The new one is so much nicer! So if you see an error page some time in the next few days, it’s because I’m messing with the code trying to fix this. Sorry for any inconvenience!
