Hey, I just found your comic through a projectwonderful ad and it looks really cool! (I was intrigued by what looked like a Kazakh flag in the background–he is Kazakh, right? Neat.) Anyway, just wanted to show my appreciation for your style. All this fencing stuff is really neat, and I gotta love any fiction that doesn’t show the Russkies as just ‘those stinkin’ commies’.
Very kind of you! Yes, Serik is Kazakh, and Coach is Russian. Neither of them tend to get a fair shake in western fiction, and that’s a shame. I hope you enjoy the story!
That was great. I like the head lights on the garage the best. Heading out in the dark of morning also reflects a part of fencing that every one experiences, but is only shared with the people you are traveling with. The breakfast;bathroom stops and quick stops for bottled water/Gator Aid are part of a shared culture.
Welcome to the home page of Sabrecat, a webcomic about fencing! The comic is currently taking a break while I learn more about cartooning at the Savannah College of Art and Design! New readers can catch up here. Blog posts update regularly with news and artwork, so please stop by often!

I really like the coloring in this one, especially the car in the last panel. Nice work!
Thanks, Bradd! The colors look a little different in Flash than in Photoshop, I’m still figuring it out!
I hate waiting for the next page to come out
Can’t wait to see some more fencing again.
