At the Gym.
I’m still inking in Flash but this time I imported it into Photoshop for coloring. I was having a hard time getting used to the color palette in Flash, and I couldn’t use the Option eyedropper shortcut, so I think this works a little better. The big disadvantage is now there’s an extra step to import the file, and although I can edit the inks, I don’t get that crisp line like I do in Flash. The experiment continues!
On another note…new songs added to the “soundtrack” at right. I found a cool Russian band named Slot and added a few of their tracks, plus a few others. It’s kind of a mishmash right now but I’m always looking for ways to tweak it. Anybody know a cool Kazakh band out there? I love the folk music but somehow it doesn’t fit. Also, I’m adjusting the available ad space as well so they aren’t quite so visually jarring. All in good time.

Murat Nasyrov–actually, he’s singing in Uyghur, but the dombra he’s playing is a very traditional instrument of Kazakhstan. Plus, he’s sorta fun to listen to. He’s dead now, but he left behind a decent amount of music. You can look him up on YouTube first.
Thanks for writing this comic! You do wonderful work. Outside of this, I never get to read anything positive about Russians, let alone Kazakhs. It’s very well drawn and Sabre’s accent is spot-on.
Thanks for the suggestion, Kristen! I’m going to go look him up right now.
lol… Serik is just begging for a smackdown.
