First round.
Bleh. This week I tried doing the inks by hand. It’s going to take some getting used to. I ended up going over all the inks on the computer anyway. I was going to leave it black-and-white but decided to color it to make up for my crappy inks. (That and I spent all of my drawing time last week working on the stickers.) Oh well. ‘Tis the price of experimentation. I prefer the organic look of ink on paper, plus I tend to overwork things on the computer (my pencils always look better than the finished product!). I’m determined to master it, however, so this won’t be the last try! Stay tuned…

You forgot a panel showing the stampede when pools are posted!!
Heh, you’re right about that!
The only one worse is the first callfor mask check!
But I like how you showed all the heads crowding into the frame to read the pool sheets!
LOL…”I never get an easy pool”. I forgot that one on the failure-oriented athlete mantra list. Along with “All my touches are lucky”.
I like this chapter, as much as I like “picking someone up in the dark to make the drive” chapter.
When you see it in this format, it makes you think of all the unspoken experiences that fencers share that are not directly related to being on strip.
