This scene takes place a couple months after the page before. Serik has been to a few tournaments and placed highly enough to qualify for Division 1 Nationals, the highest-rated domestic tournament in the US. I should have a better transition to indicate the passage of time, but I haven’t quite worked that out yet, so an explanation will have to do.
Drawing mottoes this week: “Economy of Line” and “Think Outside the Box (literally).”

How about a text box at the top of the first panel that says, “Six tournaments and three months later” or the like?
