June 1 celebrated one year of Sabrecat! I thought you might like to see an early model of Serik. This model was created in original Sculpey about 12 years ago. He’s crude, but he sits on my desk just the same waiting for a makeover! Super Sculpey is a superior product and I hope to take another stab at it one day (no pun intended!).

After one full year of on-time updates, the day has come for the dreaded hiatus. With the end of school my free time is shorter…but the good news is that there are some exciting things in store! In a nutshell: This summer, I’ll be teaching a drawing class, applying to an online art school, chasing down freelance work, making the pilgrimage to the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont for a workshop, doing some online tutorials and overhauling my website. Working on Sabrecat has given me new vision and direction…and don’t worry, it’s far from over!
So, I have two more pages to publish before the hiatus officially begins, which will be up as soon as possible. After that, expect the blog to continue as normal but the comic will be taking a break. I have appreciated all of the support, especially from fellow creators…I hope you will stick around to see how things develop!

I hope the hiatus will be short, though I can see you will be very busy this summer. Does the summer schedule mean you will start back in the fall?
At any rate I know your summer activities will be very beneficial in a number of ways.
P.S. I have to admit, I’m hooked on Sabrecat!
Ditto!
