In a weird twist of coincidence, the North Carolina State Games is hosting its fencing event (along with Karate and Taekwondo) at the Charlotte Convention Center on June 20, the same weekend as Heroes Con! So you can count on me crossing over to visit the fencing venue at least sometime on Saturday…and hopefully I’ll be able to convince my comic friends to visit, too!
By the way, if you haven’t looked, Heroes is growing to be one of the best cons in the Southeast, and this year they are hitting it out of the park with the attendance by indie legend Jeff Smith plus full-blown attendance by editors from Marvel and DC. If you like comics, it’s gonna be awesome!

Do you have an update on how the Heroes Con went?
Yes! You’ll find my post on Heroes Con 2009 here.
